The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo – Book Review

Author: Taylor Jenkins Reid.

genre: romance, Historic.

Heartbreak is a loss, Divorce is a piece of paper.

Evelyn Hugo, The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

Blurb:

This book is set in the 50’s. It was exactly at that time Evelyn decided to change her life according to her wish. It is the story of a woman, who started at nothing and ended at being one of the well-known actress.

She took what she wanted without feeling guilty. She was a force to be reckoned with. But everything comes with a price. What did Evelyn pay for all her fame and luxury? .

My Thoughts:

Evelyn is one of the strongest woman character. And I cannot believe I didn’t read this book long ago. Anyways, Evelyn made me hate her, love her and adore her.

I was just in awe. She is a woman who dreams of freedom, but gets caught in golden cuffs. She doesn’t try to escape it, she just started to rule it.

As everyone know, a celebrity’s life is never with almost no privacy. And Evelyn here, will make you believe what she wanted you to believe and make you see only what she wants you to see.

When I first picked this book, I expected to read some scandalous affair or relationship. But at the end of the book, all I can think about was Evelyn.

She is a high self-esteemed, beautiful, scandalous, lovely and caring Evelyn who will make you to stand up for yourself.

I will recommend this book to almost everyone from now on. If you get a chance, do pick it up.

What is your favorite book? Any recommendations? I would love to know about it.
